Below you will find some of the most common questions that are asked of us and our answers.  If you don't see your question here, feel free to contact us.

How are your pinatas authentic Mexician pinatas if they are made in Texas?

Our custom pinatas are hand crafted by a generation of pinata makers whose roots originate in Mexico.  For generations, our family has been crafting pinatas and we are proud to continue that tradition in the United States.

What IS a pinata?

What a great question!  We've prepared a origin page for those interested in the history of pinatas, please see it here.

How do I fill the pinata?

Our custom pinatas are easy to fill with candy and prizes! Just cut a hole at the top (we usually like to do 3 sides of a square) and fill with candy and toys accordingly. Please note that we do offer a variety of candy for you to fill the pinata. Just add it to your cart upon checkout.

Do pinatas come filled?
No, but filling a pinata is very easy! See above.

How much candy does each pinata hold?
Each of our pinatas hold about 5-10 lbs of candy and goods.

Can I order a custom made pinata?
Of course - we specialize in custom pinatas! Choose from a variety of sizes and shapes. All you have to do is fill out this form. We will need 1-2 weeks advance notice for custom pinatas, so please plan accordingly.

How long does delivery take?
For ground shipping, please allow 5-7 business days to receive your order; however, it is often delivered earlier. All orders received on business days (i.e. Monday through Friday) are shipped within 72 hours after they are received. Orders received on weekends or holidays will be processed the next business day. Please note that the day on which the order is shipped is not considered a day in transit.

Can I have my pinata delivered to me sooner than two weeks?
In some cases, it is possible for us to prioritize your order and get it to you within one week. There is a $20 service fee charged for all rush orders.

What are the shipping costs?
Shipping is a flat rate of $29.95 to anywhere within the continental United States. Rush shipping is available for $49.95. These costs are non-refundable.

Can I pay for overnight shipping?
Yes. We can use your FedEx account or we can provide you a price quote using our account. Please note that any custom pinata will take 2-3 days to create before it can be shipped out. Further, due to the size of the boxes used for our pinatas, rush shipping can be very expensive. This shipment fee is non-refundable.

How do you play the traditional pinata game?
Materials that you need to play this game are a pinata, a long rope, a buster stick, a blindfold, and a strong beam or tree branch to hang your pinata from.

  • If you have already filled your pinata, tie the rope from the loop found at the top of the pinata.
  • Pass the rope over the branch or beam, leaving the pinata hanging from one end.
  • Have kids make a line. KIDS MUST BE AT LEAST 15 FT AWAY FROM THE PINATA.
  • Blindfold the first kid and give her/him the buster stick. Each child will have several chances to hit the pinata.
  • After the first child has hit the pinata a few times the next child will be blindfolded and given the bat.
  • All kids must beat the pinata one by one; starting over with the first child in line if the pinata does not break open after the last kid has hit it.
  • When the pinata breaks open, kids must run and pick the candy and toys that have come out of the pinata. It is recommended to give out loot bags so children can fill with toys and candy from the pinatas.

How do you play the pull ribbon pinata game?

Materials that you need to play the pull pinata game are: a rope and a strong beam or tree branch to hang your pinata from.

  • If you have already filled your pinata, tie the rope from the loop found at the top of the pinata.
  • Tie the other end of the rope to the branch or beam.
  • Pull pinatas come with 20 to 30 ribbons hanging from the bottom and a secret trap door at the bottom. Just one of the ribbons is attached to the trap door and will open it when pulled.
  • Have each kid pull a string one by one or all at the same time. When the “lucky” ribbon is pulled, all the goodies will be spilled out!
  • Let kids pick up the goodies that fall to the floor and put them in their loot bags to take home.

Will I get reimbursed if I'm not satisfied with my order?

You may be credited for damaged merchandise, shortages or late deliveries. Please note we cannot issue refunds on custom pinatas or shipping charges.
